As the Founder and Managing Director of Aumirah and its affiliates, Rahul Bagga leads a dynamic team of legal professionals, IP specialists/attorneys, and tech/patent/business analysts. This team comprises both young and experienced members who are highly capable and driven. Rahul’s vision for Aumirah is to set new standards in IP management and managing corporate matter and establish the most impressive IP as well as corporate law team in India and the world.

He aims to help startups, MSMEs, and large corporations adopt a more practical approach to IP rights while providing honest and candid opinions on all IPR matters.

With over 14 years of experience in patent law practice across various countries and cities, including two years working in labs, Rahul has served as in-house counsel and off-counsel to numerous startups, MSMEs, incubators, and MNCs. He is a mentor to startups in several Indian incubators such as Nexus [by US Embassy], Indigram Labs, Aspire Labs, Pusa Krishi, IIITD Incubator, Goa State Innovation Council, and IIT Hyderabad. Rahul has worked with boutique IP firms, government-controlled organizations, and mid-sized enterprises as IP head and in-house counsel.

He holds an MS DIC in Advanced Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, where his dissertation focused on optimizing fermentation media by mathematically modeling amino acid transport across a mammalian cell membrane. Rahul is also a qualified lawyer.

Outside of work, Rahul has several interests, including boxing, public speaking, and a passion for lifelong learning. He is a trained boxer who has participated in club-level boxing matches and is always looking for opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills.
