🧬 WIPO’s GRATK Treaty Aims to Combat Biopiracy

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has introduced the Treaty on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources, and Associated Traditional Knowledge (GRATK). The treaty mandates patent applicants to disclose the origin of genetic resources and traditional knowledge used in their inventions, aiming to prevent biopiracy and ensure fair benefit-sharing.
